and then it start to grow on some people, as always, and then magazines with a compromised criteria start to praise it as the new big thing,as always, and finally bmw guys actually convince themself that they did a good job and they pretty much keep on making cars with big flaws in the design department. until one day bmw wakes up after losing all they hard die fans. how much they will care? I dont know but it will happen sooner than later

Same old story, if it is different, it is bad. I bet the CD on this body is a lot lower than the outgoing model.

Efficient fugnamics? This would be lucky to garner half the already less than stunning coupe sales- no wonder we're not getting it.

Huh?

Scott you are really towing the company line here, bless your heart. Over 20 out of 30 of your recent posts in the last week have been defending the new 1er.

Im trying to like it, really I am. Since the current 1seriesMCoupe is impossible to obtain, I had high hopes on this new 1er (and new 1M?). Based on this design, forget it.

That bulbous nose....not good.

any chance on a 2011/2012 1M CSL???

Agreed- that nose just ain't right. Hate the new 7 up front also. Looks mishmoshy not a cohesive design at all and I've always liked and owned several hatchbacks (so that's NOT it.) Having said that- if I could get a 120d and this was the only way I'd still be tempted but it would be tough. Looks aren't everything- price it right, bring the diesel and MAYbe I'd go another round. Even though its fugnamic I'd like the hatch option depending on what they turn out for the coupe.

Welcome to the internet, where if you don't like something it is terrible and if you do like something it is vastly superior. Thank God that whatever gets written in these forums does not control the outcomes in real life.

So you don't want to move to Europe, Asia or Australia? Because as most of you might not be aware - for what reason ever - This car will NOT come to the US.
So comments like above are a bit pointless, are they?

I figured out what the front looks like - a bottle-nosed dolphin.
If I saw a man driving this car it would really make me laugh and I don't like laughing at people. Just Sayin

This car is sickeningly ugly.

Something as expensive as car should not make you ask "what the hell were they thinking?". I've heard several people claim that this being the F20 is some sort of mistake. In fact I thought it was a photoshop by a poorly funded auto magazine. This sort of visual disgust souldn't make it past review on a BMW key fob, but on a high volume bread and butter vehicle? This sort of mistake makes me lose a lot of respect for the brand.
