Great light, DC. I think I recognize that field.

Thanks Mark.

Yeah, it's headed East, about a 1/4-mile before the main road goes through a heavily wooded area. The bucks are headed for the woods.

Nice one Dave. I'm looking forward to the Tule Elk rut which begins in a few weeks here, and now they dropped the price on the 1DX which is tempting me. My buddy and fellow shooter also just bought a jeep, which is going to open up some more possibilities this fall.

The 1DX is really late in its product life. I really only think of it as an indoor sports or low-light wildlife specialty camera. I'd wait to see what the 5D MkIV has to offer. I bet that speed it up to around 9-fps and it already has higher resolution at the lower ISOs. For birds and wildlife, the 7D MkII is hard to beat.

BTW, I ordered a 5Ds R from Camera Canada. It'll be my travel and landscape body and backup wildlife body. Just over $3200 after the CDN$ conversion.

Camera Canada has saved me over $1600 vs B&H, since the first of the year.

So you just toss in a bunch of chips and salsa and stuff or what? Looks very tasty.

It starts with a layer of tortilla chips. Then I mixed together pinto and black beans, green chilies, a can of rotel, a chopped onion, garlic, some leftover shredded chicken, a bit of tomato sauce, all stirred up in a bowl, and then put half onto the chips, spread some montery jack over it, spread out the rest of the mix, topped it with cheddar, scallions and sliced olives and into the oven. Topped with sour cream and avocado in a bowl, and dinner for a few days

Rodny, nice Riverwalk shot.

Ed, the casserole looks perfect. I'd just take off the olives.

Love the kitchen shot Ed, mouthwatering !

Dave . . your honey bee on lavender really is a cracking shot.

Rodny, that River walk Chattanooga, TN shot is amazing. The range of reflected colours in the water is absolutely stunning. So much so that, personally, I would be tempted to crop a little off top and bottom to concentrate more on the river. Maybe, just maybe, the image could take a little sharpening too.

It will work, because I've tried it
Hope you don't mind ?

OK guys, here's the 'glamour shot' of the week !
Don't get too carried away . . . please.

. . . . and it was the colourful spectacle that attracted me to the shot . . . honest
