m135i spark plugs to 116i

hi again. i remapped my ecu to 200hp 310nm in our forum they are changing the plugs with m135i plugs. today i went to dealer and noticed the 135i plugs little taller than standard 116i plugs. is there any problem with it ? can i use it ?

Any issues using back the stock ones for tuned engines? I'm not sure if there is any improvements.

You did the ECU tune? I remember you mentioned about failed engines after tuning, did they isolate the faults or directly link it to the tune?

The only issue is the clearance in the head to top of the piston.
If the clearance is OK and the plugs are the same gap it should be OK

Denso make Iridium plugs for the N13 1.6:

https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/denso/7744982

NGK version is ILZKBR7B8G 97968

I believe its a cooler running one.

I wouldn't risk plugs meant for a 135i.

I am running MHD stage 1 tune on F20 116i also with N13 engine. I've had the MHD stage 1 tune with OEM plugs for 2 years, no problems at all. After that, I changed (they were getting old, not broken) plugs to OEM BOSCH (ZR5TPP33S) for M135i, not much of a difference really, but it can be considered as upgrade as far as the quality goes. For futureproofing, you can go with M135i plugs. There is a difference in size but they fit no problem what so ever. Hope it helps.
