sort of like you go to authentic Chinese restaurants and you see FOBs there and all they're eating is like 90% rice?

Ture. I am Chinese as well. It is pathetic my people like rice so much. I only eat rice like 2-3 times a month. 1 of them is sushi. Too much sugar in it than i need.

No, this is sadly what modifying cars has come to this day and age. Everyone is so obsessed with doing something different rather than right, that we end up with utter piles of shite everywhere. Whatever happened to doing what's right, as opposed to doing something purely to seek attention from others?

There's a saying in Dutch "doe normaal, dan doe je al gek genoeg" which translates into "just be normal, that's crazy enough".

Rest assure, now of these cars will be going across the Mecum Auto Auction stage any time in the future.

We all put money in our cars which we would never get it back out. But these guys put all kinds of money into something that will just end up in the car crusher.

It could be worse... You could take, arguably one of the worst cars ever made, and make it even more terrible...

The guy actually owns a vehicle wrap company in canada, so he uses his car to get publicity and advertising.. And based just on this thread, hes getting it.

I would be willing to bet that his car has gotten him business. Without a doubt. Because we do the same thing. We build a Mclaren as a project car, and we have people with Ford Focuses calling for stuff just because they like the car. As long as something is eye catching, you'll have people paying attention to it.

Don't understand why anyone does what amounts to tacking on aluminum siding onto their car and thinks it looks good.

The funny thing is this isn't new. It's just a progression of the more is better mentality. Saw this with the stupid wrong offset wheels which had the cars looking like real life Matchbox cars, to the super slammed suspensions where the owners were too cheap to get the right springs and just cut coils out, to the "ground effects" and clothes drying rear wings that just produced more drag than any aerodynamic/downforce benefits. Today's fad is just an evolution of the previous all show and no go.

Too bad there isn't more people out there building sleeper cars. I had one a while back that looked benign from the outside but would shock you when I put my foot in it.

i dont mind the liberty walk/rocket bunny kits if done right. It takes the right color, right wheels, right drop, etc for me to like.

I think this one looks way better than the one posted in OP.
