That's also wenn the new extras like new F30-like M steering wheel and iDrive Touch will have start of production for the F20/F21.

is it the square bottomed steering wheel? is that standard on MY14 MSport or an option?

if the idrive screen becomes touch they better had reinforce it a bit as (at least I find) it's quite flimsy!

iDrive touch means that the controller gets a touchpad surface for gestures and writing letters and NOT a touchscreen.

The new M steering wheel will be the same the F30 with M Paket has.

I thought I might like the touch idrive. But being right handed it might prove a bit tricky for me.

And I am left handed and drive a F21 and have to use iDrive with my right hand (german car).
Deal with it.

There is an update from July production that includes the updated pro nav and Launch Controller, I'm not sure what else is included but my dear has promised me these things and it gets built this month...

It really does not matter when you get it, unless you intend to sell it within the first 6 months. In which case you will loose a fortune on its value.

The reality is that you could never buy a car if you wanted to have all the latest bells and whistles included as they now mod them too often as marketing want you to trade it in on the newest one and so on.

Just enjoy the driving experience

Normally July production should get I drive touch, I'll get mine by end of next week, then we'll see but on the configurator it is already the new touch button (not that this means much). No info on a steering wheel change. July will definitly get Launch Control.
