hopefully i get more pictures tomorrow after a wash.

i got to drive it more enthusiastically today, ill try to tell you what i experienced.

So today i wanted to test the power of the N20, went for a drive around a neighbourhood i know and cops wont be around

I put on Sport and gear leave on S (to the left), the engine felt powerful and the torque does seem like it can compete with the 130i easily. Going though gears there is a distinctive feel on upshift of the changes, it doesnt feel constant and super smooth like the 130i, on every change there is a pull which feel awesome! For me it feels more racier, sportier and more exciting!

Engine sound is not bad once you go past 4000rpm, it sounds nice, could be a little lounder, but i'm happy with it. If you are on a high gear and floor it and then let go of the accelerator, you can hear the PTSSSSS from the turbo blowoff valve. Ive driven a Q5 with 2.0T and the sound is quiet, the 125i has a nice louder sound, which makes experience more enjoyable, and you end up finding yourself doing some quick acceleartions to hear the blowoff valve

Steering feel on sport felt heavier, which is how i like it. Very precise and smooth, you know where the vehicle is going when you do a turn.

Suspension was very nice, didnt feel any side ways "tilt" if you can call it that (or body roll). Even on fast turns it just felt like claws on the ground. Tight still suspension but soft on bumps from ground unevenness.

Fuel economy, even after this playing around, high accelerations, i was getting a fuel economy of 10.2L/100km, which for me is really good improvement as on the 130i I used to get 17L/100km.

Brakes (stock non M) im not really a harsh braker, dont like to do hard stops. But overall it felt good and with progressive response.

Stereo, its the stock stereo, some people say its crap, I was playing some pop/dance/electronic and the bass seemed on the spot after configuring to my liking, definitely crisper sound compared to the E87 (130i). With the Bus nav you can only setup the Bass and Tremble, i think they forgot the mids
All songs played from USB stick and volume not to the max, but loud enough to annoy the cars next door

I think thats it for now.
But overall i was skeptical when getting the 125i because i wanted power like in the 135i coupe, but I have to say that I'm surprised, the pull going throu gears is really fun and engine rev after 4000rpm is great (keeping in mind its a 4 cly), and quick enough to play around.

My bonnet was exactly the same as this. Dropping from a height didnt seem to solve it, the only way to close it was to give it a damn good shove with my palm, but i don't like this as i could feel the metal flexing slightly. Mines in the bodyshop for some warranty paintwork today, so im getting them to take a look at this also, it closes eventually, but it shouldn't be like this - especially when one side closes perfectly from a height. Will keep you posted how they get on, im hoping its just a stopper adjustment or something.

Its worth noting, that my dealership said they will only do adjustments like this under warranty within the first 6 months of ownership, pretty crap when its clearly a manufacturing problem

I'm going to debadge mine on the rear when we get some decent weather over here.

I wish I'd have ticked this option.

it kinda looks like the original owner ordered without the badges, then wanted them back so bought them separately mebe, or had them stolen. either way, easy fix eh

My 'good' eye can be a downfall; once ive noticed something like that it'd bug me until id put it right, haha.

Sod badges, don't understand them. It's like wearing a t shirt with '12inches' and an arrow pointing downwards on it.

Its worth an ask; especially if its not too far away. The dealer will deffinately put you a new one on, if theres a cost is the other question. If it came from the factory like this tho, they should put it right. Did you buy the car from a dealership or a private sale?

There is no M125i, only people with a fake badge on their 125i !!

125i is 4 cylinder.
