Very nice car mate. Great pics too. Loving the interior shots.
I'd have stuck with anthracite interior too, but with 2 young kids leather was the only option! How is the car bedding in? |

30mpg not bad at all. Are you finding it's a bit of an eye catcher around town and on the road?
I've seen a handful of 1ers, but only 1 M Sport so far tucked up in a car park. Looked stunning. |

Very nice car!
I also have one question: do you have Sport+ mode (so EcoPro, Confort, Sport and Sport+)? It seems that Sport versions have it, but M Sport don't ? |

Noticed you are local to me. Its a lovely motor you have, been hoping to see it driving around sunny stoke!!!
I am awaiting almost the exact same car from Knights although its a 118d. Did you have the gardx treatment they are pushing? Am in two minds of allowing them to treat it or take it to Autobrite(Fenton) and let them properly apply there much cheaper and probably better paint protection system. Wondered what your thoughts are on it if you have had it applied? Thanks |

I had pretty much decided to take it to Autobrite. I looked at the Gtechniq but after speaking to Mark at Autobrite and visiting 'Detailing World' to view some of the work they have done and do a bit of research, I have pretty much decided on them. If I had a garage that was usable I would offer you the use of it. Enjoy your new motor, looking at yours make me more desperate for mine! |

I have on order a 118d M-sport Estoril Blue. Trying to remember the options I picked. . . pretty sure of the following Visibility Pack Sun Protection Driver Comfort Package (Hope they sorted the steering) Black Panel Display Auto Box (was well impressed by this on the test drive) Wish I had gone for the M-brakes and upgraded stereo now though but its too late to change. Hopefully see you about. |

iBeech, I have some questions maybe you would like to reply (or anybody):
- I want a 116i, but I´m wondering if is enough engine...¿? - I´m not sure between the estoril blau o white... - How is the sound quality? I´m thinking about the HK option... Thanks a lot in advance to everyone !!! |

The 116i feels quite powerful compared to most other cars that are supposed to have around 136 hp. I don't miss more power, but the engine characteristic is somewhat boring. The strong low end grunt makes the high end feel like something is missing. Almost like a turbo diesel engine. The sound could also have been more inspiring. For a turbo engine, it is quite responsive, but for those used to naturally aspirated engines, there is a noticeable turbo lag. I used to have an E36 323ti Compact with a 2.5L straight six. When taken to tracks, the F20 can actually match the top speeds on the straights that I had with the lighter E36. I had a dyno reading at close to 190 hp with that car, so the F20 performs well. |

Ok, the blue is for sure. The engine, I have to try it and then decide. Maybe the 118i is an option, but I think is too much for me. I will continue posting all things about these doubts. Last edited by Jameson; 01-23-2013 at 03:28 AM.. |

Low down in the rev range, the 116 and 118 are pretty similar by all accounts. They both have the same engine just electronically tuned to a different output. If imagine day to day you might not notice much between the two but when you put it on the rivet the 118 comes out on top. I tested a 116d and that had plenty of poke for the drive I went on.
