Driver's side DRL Angel eyes not working

Hello fellow beamer boys,

I have a 2013 bmw m135i (pre-lci) with bi-xenon, angel eye lights.
Over the last couple days, the drivers side DRL rings have stopped working.
I opened the bonnet, played around with them a little (not having a clue if something had stopped working or dodgy connection to the lights) and to my surprise it came back on for a bit but shortly stopped working afterwards.

Any info on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated gents.

Thanks,
Louie

Hello.

From your description it looks like it's the LED module unit: https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...34#63117296905. Apparently you can check it by replacing with your other headlight's one. Just be aware the manual, page 259, warns you mustn't work on Xenon headlights yourself unless you really know what you are doing!

Hey man. But if its a drl unit one ring should be still fully functional no? Both rings have its own unit.

And the LED stripe above has its own unit too? I don't know.
