Windscreen aircon defrost vent air leakage
Hi all,
I am new to here but My 118i is now suffering from the windscreen always mist up on the outside of windscreen. I feel that the defrosting vent is always cold and air is leaking even when I turn the dial for the vent just facing the driver vent. I dont know whats wrong which I upload a pic on how bad it mist up. Thanks everyone for the help |

The air flow is channeled through a central box, with piping leading to the respective outputs. There are flaps and shutters that control the directions. These usually have a foam edge to seal well, and these could be worn-out. I haven't take any newer BMW apart, so these are educated guesses.
It may just be that the flaps/shutters never were made to seal 100%. Either way, it is usually a time-consuming job to remove the central box... |

This means that is something wrong with your air conditioner. I had the same with mine. I steamed a more significant part of the window. It wasn't perfect, and I couldn't drive usually. It was hazardous. I went like this for about a week until I understood that I had to solve the situation. I asked for the help of several people, and they all told me that the best solution was to ask for the help of some specialists. A friend recommended the specialists at a company, saying that he had a pleasant experience with it. That's what I did. I asked them for help, and they were very receptive and immediately fixed my problem. Now such issues do not exist for me!
