iDrive Y-cable not recognising iPhone - BMW 1-Series Forum (F20) 135i

Hello Guys,

Suddenly after a year of pleasure my iDrive system doesnt recognise my iPhone any more. It is connectes through the y-cable and both iPod as Spotify worked perfectly.

Now the system reads the iphone for a few seconds and says 'not recognised device'.

It seems that it is stuck in AUX mode somehow. Playing AUX is not working either.

Any help on this one? Maybe it is possible to reset iDrive? Perhaps by cutting the battery?

will a y-cam cable from a MINI work in the BMW?

My iPhone 5 works with the Y cable and iPhone 5 white cable adapter. It doesn't work with iTunes music match in the cloud.
