[Glasgow Ranger]

Hi everyone, I have just joined the forum after months reading all the threads.
I am Glasgow Ranger and I have just taken the plunge and ordered a new F20 due in March. My present drive is a 118d coupe so in a way I will be sad to see it go but it's replacement is a 125d M Sport. I had a test drive on Thursday and was blown away with the performance so ordered one

I look forward to joining in the chat on the forum.

Hi fuzzer What is the extended display; is that the professional Nav kit?

It is not the nav kit, it is an extended display (6WA on the options list)

Depends on how much you like the look of it. I decided not to put it on the option list, and I don't miss it at all.

I have it and like it, but could quite happily live without it.

You get an analog view of the fuel consumption, and (not so good) recommendations from the car about how much throttle to use.

Otherwise nothing extra, but some people prefer the way it looks in the instrument panel.

I've got one with and one without and it looks much better, in hindsight id have ordered them both with it.

The steering wheel obscures some of the smaller display , but seems to be less of an issue with the extended display as a lot of the useful info is placed differently on it.

It's just a good ole option to stick on if you can still add the spec

I have had some people of rather different build behind the M-Sport wheel in our car, and none of them had any problems adjusting the seating position correctly, so that nothing was obscured (maybe except the green LED on the wiper stalk, telling if the auto function is enabled).

That was with the regular black panel, not the extended one.
