I'm in the process of buying the M135i and I have to agree with people on here. It doesn't need that M badge for the sake of it. It would just as quickly have got a reputation amongst petrol heads as being a brutally fast hatchback without the M performance rubbish attached.
In fact there's a part of me that's almost convinced it's embarrassing because people will think I've been one of those BMW chavs and put an M sticker on my 135i ![]() |

Is it likely that there will be a video review as well when TG gets back on the air? And of course, a lap by The Stig? I'd love to see how it does around the track compared to the 1M.

Nominally, second best time for a BMW was 1.25.3 for E90 M3 sedan which was a dry lap, so no deductions.
