Hi all,
Got my 118i sportline for 2 months now and I am enjoying it. Does anybody know if the (120d-only) option flappy pedal wheel can be fitted to any other model, such as mine? After 2 months, I think this car really needs shift pedals to be driven properly... |

Yes you can. you have to buy a new steering wheel and wire network for gearbox + + programming. talk to your BMW dealer. This is costly.

I was told it wasn't possible specifically because the flappy paddle transmission is programmed differently... If someone finds a way around this, please let us know, I'd also love to have them fitted to my car!

You can do it, but the problem is that the dealers' diagnostics cannot perform the programming, so you must revert to a non-dealer service, that have the ability to programme independantly the different modules. One tool that I know it works for fact is the Autologic diagnostic (my friendly non-dealer service has one and I have seen it how it works)...but as it was mentioned before, it is a costly thing to do.
