Digital clock problem

Hi! I'm new here and just recently purchased my first BMW. Everything is fine with the car except for the digital clock! Instead of 60 seconds to a minute it just counts 40 seconds. I brought it back to the dealer and asked them to fix it but they still have not come up with a solution. Maybe someone from here can help me? It would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It is a programme glitch (unusual problem).
A while ago, I had a M5 with a similar fault when I bought it. Funny thing, it was a dealer demo with 5000k on it and noone there noticed. The time was right but the days went backward. I have to admit I did not notice it for a few days.

Your dealer's tech person should be able to access the clock programme on the onboard computer and do a dump and reinstall of that clock display programme. It is unlikely to be a hardware issue. If it is they have to replace the OBC and then pair the new one to the engine's EMS and ECU. Can't see that. It should be a straight forward fix.

Thanks for sharing but the dealership actually had to contact BMW's main office in southeast Asia just to ask how they should go about fixing it. They did get the solution and they were able to fix it. Thanks again!
