I like it, I think it looks good and the eDrive numbers are impressive, I hope they translate to the production model also.

the concept looks great outside and inside but i'm sure BMW will chenge the bumpers and ruin the exterior!
i hope the interior will look like that in the production car, but there is a slightly chance for this to happen. |

Scott, why doesn't this concept have that horrendous line on the hood (separating it from the bumper, like the F30), but has it between the kidneys (much better, btw)? Because it's only a concept, or will the location of the separating line transit to production?

Looks pretty good. As a small car, the proportions are a bit awkward but that's the nature of small cars. I thought the car would look more like F20 which I'm not a big fan of, but this car looks very good.
Whether the car is 1 series or 7 series, it should look good and BMW-like. I believe F20 is pretty watered down, designed wise. As long as BMW keeps FWD to just 1 series and not 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 series, it's ok I guess. Ideally, sure I want all BMW's to be RWD and having FWD hurts the brand image but I'm sure they did enough thinking and research to make this decision. I'm sure it makes very good financial sense. |

exterior will translate to production very well, except the rims, will be a very big extra expenditure probably. BMW is rather conservative in production rims I guess. Leaping clearly behind on lower class competitors here in Europe.
Interior seems hard to translate to production, but when it's driver oriented and combined with decent materials, I'am ok with it. I keep repeating my self, exterior design is back on top at least. |

I like both the interior and the exterior. This may be a stupid question, but will BMW bring it to the States? I concur with some of the other posters... BMW please keep FWD to this series.

I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that the car is mostly CFRP. The F30 and F10 (and other coming bmws) have that cut line as Euro regulations require more plastic up front now.

I hear ya. I wish BMW used a sub-brand for this category of vehicles (e.g. i, Saab).
However, it's got electric RWD, so if the engineers program it to kick in at the right times (e.g. hard acceleration, cornering), it doesn't have to drive like a typical FWD appliance. *fingers crossed* |

Honestly, I'm a fan of current design of "hood shut line" above the BMW logo. It's a great tribute to old BMW's especially 3.0 CSI. BUT, if the renders for the upcoming 2015 7 series is close to real, then BMW may be going back to the "hood shut line" being integrated into the kidney grills. |

I can't say I agree or like the board's decision to make "give the green light" such a product nor can I see the market for it but I am sure someone can convince me otherwise.
All the same, if this means that revenue generated from this model and others goes toward making a new 1 M Coupe CSL or new M3 CSL I'm all for it. AAAAAND, the actual chances of that happening; slim to none which is why this makes me sad. |

Can't wait to see real pictures at the Paris show. Sure it's a BMW but if they could use a FWD and make it fun to drive like the MINI but with added comfort, I wouldn't mind. I've just come to accept that BMW is big and they're going to try new things.
