I took delivery of my 116i Sport a few weeks ago and so far NO major problems apart from my headlights misting up (Douglas Park and Park Lane have sorted out this as they are ventilated ) and my manuals being German (again sorted by both dealers) Does anyone have any faults yet or are we looking at a spot on car ?

No problems here as well...but I think it is too early to comment.

no major issues so far, with 4000km..
however, i got the car with 1 big rattle in the door, now these are spreading.. and at least have 3 (doors and rear seat)...my fourth bummer, four came with rattles.. confident they will be able to fix that as doors are usually easy to fix, nonetheless, this sucks...

was missing outside door handle led from rear door - been replaced
Idrive was malfunctioning - been reprogrammed
Chrome bezel around gear lever loose- need to get it repaired
intermittent rattle from front door

Some rattle from trunk area. Quite annoying for me, i'm trying to find out wherefrom it coming out..

took it to bmw yesterday bezzle needs to be ordered from Germany 3 week wait
Will ask them to look at rattle when i get the the new trim fitted

wow not the kind of quality one would expect from bmw maybe the cars were produced during the oktober-fest I'll get back with a qualityreport when I've picked my car upp, should arrive any second now.

was hoping I'd get the you-can-come-pick-it-up-message today but I didnt =( next week I guess. Production was quick but the damn delivery takes ages

Where are you and when did you order? I'm in northen England, i ordered end of november and don't even have a delivery estimate yet!

I ordered mine a week ago and got a delivery date of 20th Feb 12, but the sales assistant was sure it would be here about a week before.... I'm hoping so can't wait :-)

Which dealer? I orderd mine from Lister Park - Bradford. Are you not going to wait and register it for March for the new plate?

Ordered from Sandals BMW in Huddersfield, was going to but mines on Finance with a part exchange, the figures at the end of year 3 didn't make a difference so wasn't bothered and to be honest I don't think my current car will last too long.... It's a 118d so don't know weather was lucky in the build schedule

I had a similar quandary but I said if I could take it in Jan I’d have it on a 61, but if its feb then register for March. I’m eeking out another couple of thousand miles on my current set of tyres.

I think the other thing that sealed it for me was that I had to keep under 80,000 on my current car for the part exchange to be valid, I do around 25,000 miles a year and i've only got about 4,000 miles to play with before the car arrives..

I'm in sweden. Placed the order at the end of october. I got a delivery estimate immediately when the dealer placed the order in their system. And it looks like that estimate will be accurate (first week januari 2012)!

odd that your dealer haven't provided you with estimated delivery-date, they should have that info

Just to let everybody knows my new F20 118i's engine went dead suddenly and couldn't get it back up when I was on my way to work this morning.

The car is now towed to BMW service centre and am now waiting for BMW to get back to me on where the problem lies.

I just took delivery of the car about 2 weeks ago and have not done anything funny with it.

Hope the problem is nothing major but really didn't expect a new car to break down in just 2 weeks.

This does not sound good - I was thinking it may have been a one off, as my brothers just told me his next door neighbours F20 did the same thing, but to cut a long story short its going to take a few weeks to fix as the parts are on back order?? Will quiz her (the neighbour) when I next visit.
Hers is a 118d - the same as the one i've got on order :-(

Will keep you updated the progress of hers as i'm sure my brother will keep me updated!
