M135i
Test drove this beast today and completely blown away. Just deciding on what options I want and then going to place an order.
Firstly, for those who have slated this car for being ugly, I know looks are entirely subjective and I was also skeptical judging from the photographs. In the flesh, it looks fantastic and I'm sure in a few years time the looks will be far more accepted. Something similar happened with the E60 5 Series. The car itself is astonishing. Extremely comfortable and rides very well indeed. Floor the throttle and the level of performance is just insane. I've never driven a hatchback that shifts anywhere near as fast as this thing. It is just a joke. The exhaust sounds awesome and even pulling away gently you get that lovely 6 cylinder feint roar in the background. As for the spec, here's what I'm thinking: Sports Auto Transmission Esterol Blue Paint Driver Comfort Package (cruise control and parking sensors) Electric folding mirrors BMW Pro Sound system (I don't think the HK is worth the extra) DAB (now standard from Jan 2013) Black Panel Display Sun Protection Glass Any other suggestions for options? I'm not bothered about Sat Nav. For those interested I managed 38mpg driving sensibly-ish and roughly 23mpg on the same route but this time ragging it a few times. What a machine. BMW, you have done well! |

Would suggest Extended bluetooth (for example spotify streaming) think it's 6NK option.
Very happy I chose it, use it every day! I recon Xenon lights are standard? What about extended lighting? It's a must have! I also think I would have chosen the HK audio system, I'm only mildly impressed by the HiFi system, it works but doesn't give you the extra "ompf". Depends on whether you are a music fan or not though.. |

Yeah Xenons are included but if they weren't I would definitely spec them. Had them on my last car and they do make a massive difference.
The HK system. I'm not entirely sure. I listen to dance/rock mainly and I've been told the BMW Pro unit is already pretty good for this type of music. The test drive car had the HK unit and it was good but I didn't get the chance to turn it up loudly. As long as the BMW unit delivers decent bass I'll be happy, I was told the HK only really adds detail to the treble end. DAB is standard now and I have to say it did sound very good indeed compared to FM. Cheers Last edited by tommybisler; 01-09-2013 at 10:36 AM.. |

It makes a big difference when you have one of your favourite tunes cranked up. |

I'm not sure if you're being serious!
The 125d is an awesome car but MPG and efficiency are of little concern for me now. The M135i is a real performance car, the 125d is a slightly quicker rep-mobile. |

You actually had an M135i Bengaz????
OP - Xenons are standard dude. Hifi is a personal thing obviously, but could be cheaper than aftermarket. However, aftermarket will be better. I have gone with adaptive suspension myself. For £500 its a bargain! |
