Manhart Racing vs TMC piggy

I wonder if Manhart is basing their tune on the box from TMC? Not judging this being a good/bad thing.

These things all look alike.

The boxes themselves come from mostly the same manufacturer but what matters is the software the tuner uses/applies.

Agreed. There are a lot of generic enclosures for electronic and the selection is probably limited if you want auto-grade connectors. Since this piggy-tuning is so popular I bet both TMC, Manhart and others buy the whole box and tweak their own software for it.

Answer from Manhart:

Dear Mr. Harkes,

thank you very much for the interest in our company and high performance products.

To be honest, I personally have never heard of TMC before. I just had a look at their website and Piggybag solutions and have to admit that there is some similarity regarding the shape of their and our unit. However, I can assure you that we are not working with them.

Please let me know if you have further questions!

mit freundlichen Grüßen/ regards

Hi, if you don't mind can i ask you how much it set you back for the stage 2?

I've kind of been following your list in terms of what upgrades to get. I have the Evolve Technik piggyback atm but i'm not sure if it's working well for me.

And i've ordered a full Supersprint exhaust system to come shortly... so wondering if i should go with the Manhart. Are you liking it so far? cheers, jason
