I'm at 16,500km and I have between 3 and 4mm left in the centre of the tread but almost no pattern on the outer 2cm of the fronts.
No track work, but plenty of fast open road corners in that time as well as inner urban roundabouts on the daily grind. I'm running 38psi front and 40psi rear. Will be getting another alignment prior to replacing mine. By the way connortam, have a look at Ozzy Tyres and Tempe Tyres - they have our PSSs at competitive prices.

Fronts are $300 from Tempe for 88Y PSS (there's also a 92Y).
Ozzy did have rears for $380 fitted - neither is currently listing them. Shipping from Tirerack has become more expensive, but service is great. Have a look at your sidewalls - the tyres my car came from the factory on say 'Canada and US Codes only' as do the replacements I've just bought! If you want local and need them now, Tempe have PS2s in both sizes - I think they are very close indeed in grip and character to the PSS. Alternatively, a pair of rears from the US and get the fronts locally and you'll definitely avoid duty etc. |
