Wheel offsets
Hi all, I'm new to this, so hi I've been driving my 116i sport line since feb and absolutely love it! I had it optioned with 17x7 wheels and am now looking at upgrading. I'm looking at going 19x8 fronts and 19x9 rears, is there any problems fitting these and what is the recommended offset front and rear. I don't want anything hanging outside the guards or rubbing on the guards. Any help is appreciated.

Schnitzer is using 8.5x19 wheels both front and rear, with an offset of 43. So, definetely this siaze and offset fits fine. BMW 19'' wheels (performance) for the F20 are 7.5'' front and 8'' rear with an offset of 45 and 52 respectively. Hartge is using 8x19'' wheels all around with an offset of 40.

I tried fitting a staggered set of OEM rims off an E90 335i to my 125i.
The fronts were 19x8 and fitted fine but the rears were 19x9 and were simoly too wide and sat outside the guards. I ended up with 20x8 all around the car. Im fairly certain the offset is 45 on the new ones, but that half inch certainly made a difference. Good luck with your search |

I am running 8x17" wheels with 35 mm offset. This puts the wheels pretty much flush with the wheel arches, so wider wheels would need a higher offset. For 9" wheels you would probably want an offset close to 50 mm.
