You also need to consider that when you go to 19" or 20" wheels it has to have an even lower profile tyre to stay within the rolling diameter.

I saw a White F20 118i sport at the dealers the other day with black 20" wheels on it, it looked like it was on wagon wheels, the rubber was so thin.

I talked to the guy who bought it and he said he had just bought it that way the week before from the dealer. He says it was so hard on the road that it did not drive as well the standard car, so had arranged for the dealer to fit the 17" M Sport wheels that came on it.
