they are actually more or less the same thing
basically the way it works is that the Turbo is always generating too much boost
so there is a sensor that opens the valve to release the pressure
the piggy is there to trick the sensor so that the valve does not open so quickly, and therefore the boost maintains higher
how much does it cost to produce such a unit? probably not much
why does AC and Hartge ask for so much more? well is there anything with their badges on that are not overpriced?
I know at least a dozen people with these kind of boxes, they are in fact quite safe
I believe the only potential problem would be when using the max output (you can dial from 0 to 9), the oil temp becomes so high you probably want to add an oil cooler, and probably a better charge tube
this is not some kind of new technology so its relatively safe
and its the best investment in any car modification I have done ever
