When it comes to engine sound, I would prefer to enhance the sound only inside the car, and keep it as quiet as possible on the outside. I want to do this by tapping into the OBD2 port for RPM and throttle load, and let a mobile phone app generate fake engine noise that I can amplify to the stock speakers when I feel like it. So far I haven't managed to make it work due to problems with the RPM signal in the OBD2 port.
