Now that is a good idea, I was thinking about a sound probe but never considered a hoover hose.
I have a good indy near me that knows the engines well, may get them to have a listen and see what they think.
Must have a camera handy to record the expressions as I waltz in swinging a length of hoover pipe and asking who fancies a listen.
