Making sweeping judgements about the 1M from this single, very skewed, test is ignorant at best. This is a race to 500 feet where one driver has a distinct advantage. The 1M has a far superior suspension setup and marginally more horsepower.

This post shows that the M135i was a full 3 seconds slower around the Nurburgring than the 1M, which is a much better comparison for two sports cars. These cars were never intended as drag racers.
