BMW 1 Series - Boot Mod
Has anybody here gone about the mod of installing a spring on each gas strut so that when you push and hold the button on the key fob to unlock and sligthly pop the boot the springs and washers around the gas struts actually pop the boot far enough open that the gas struts can take over and then open the boot the rest of the way...
Anybody gone about this mod??
How do i do it??
I have purchased some 20 x 32 green springs and m6, m8 and m10 washers....
I have also bought some 19mm (3/4 inch) tap washers...
but how do i go about actually installing all of this equipment?
A how-to would be helpful. Anyone?
