Skip the wide kidney grills and go with the more vertical ones as seen here^. Also, in this illustration, the front end is canted like the old 6 series.
In this latest rendering you've just provided , there is no characteristics of anything that says BMW 2002. I for one love the clam-shell hood and ROUND headlights & the fact that the character line from the back goes strait to the front corner.

You do realise that that render was not the 2er? It was Autobilds interpretation of what a Hommage BMW CS could look like?
