I have just completed an engine oil and filter change (see my thread "Early Oil Change") at 1200 miles. I used the Castrol Edge 5W30 fully synthetic with specification BMW LL04.
5L in my engine only took it to the bottom of the dipstick; it eventually took 5.8L.
