Either way is fine, I just would like to find out if possible whether it's torque biased --> not likely need maintenance other than lubricant, or clutch based --> likely to need clutch change as well on top of lubricant~

It is clutch based, with 30 percent lockup under power and 9 percent while coasting. In my experience, the clutches will however last quite a long time. Maybe even the lifetime of the car. It is however important to use oil with additives for that type of clutch.
The BMW Z3 M Coupe had a very similar differential setup.
