They did...saying that it had a disproportionate, surprised, bug-eyed look with a pot-belly pig side profile. That's why I have to laugh at these responses. Back then it was "Sign the petition to Get rid of Bangle!". Now its "Bring back Bangle", LOL.
I'll agree that the headlights are still too big for this car, but while we might not like them, I seriously doubt its going to hurt sales much. History has already proven it so...everyone thought the "dame-edna" e60s headlights were disgusting, and that the interiors of the 7-series and 6-series were terrible, ( not mention their "bangle-butts" ), and the first Z4 was considered the epitome of everything negative with Chris Bangle...and yet, they sold. I guess ultimately, the BMW badge, its status, and of course, the driving experience trump any flaws we see in their design. Let's just hope they didn't screw THAT up.
