I use Sport or Sport+ while driving around town but once I get on the freeway I toggle between Sport and Comfort. It seems to me that Sport just doesn't use the higher gears seems like a wanton waste of fuel to me, hence Comfort. That, and Sport makes it impossible to keep to the speed limit.
Eco works for urban driving too, it is just a completely different experience to Sport for those who want to make less carbons and save the polar bear. It also renders the aircon useless here in the summer. Possibly because I have a 125i I don't find it undriveable, just dull.
