Not sure why its such a pain, especially in the auto. All one has to do is lift foot off the brake to start. Only use it at traffic lights. Can modulate pressure on the brake when you don't wish it to operate eg at roundabouts. It's main bonus is one doesn't hear the noisy diesel engine at standstill.
