I guess I'll chip in on the logistic side of installation.

I had planned on doing it. However I have to detach my differential, send it over to UK (~45 kg so Quafe told me), and after they have completed the work, they send my parts back. This first method you wait a long time for the shipping, and you cannot drive the car, but you are getting the work done on your own diff.

Or to speed things up, they can send you a unit originated from someone else's diff, and you install (/swap) it and send them yours. There is no wait for this second method apart from the installation work, but this is someone else's diff.

Just thought to bring it up if someone is about to do it. I think we have a wonderful car on our hands, if it tails out anywhere near E46 M3 which I drove for several hours, It'll be difficult to drag me away from this 1 series.
