If this is an April fools joke, it is very lame, IMHO. There's no creativity or really any comedy in it. We know the 1 series will be revealed soon anyway, so getting people to believe the story is really no feat at all, its just lame.
It would be like telling your coworker you have a meeting in an hour and then saying, "Psyche! Ha - you believed me!". Or, maybe like saying, "Hey did you hear there was another tremor in Japan today?", and then saying "No I'm kidding! Can't believe you actually fell for that one!!!

I'm pretty sure that this is an artists rendering based on the mostly-uncovered spyshots, and taking into account other known facts about the car. Whether its genuinely from Autobild or whatever, who knows. We'll have pics and info from BMW real soon now anyway, so, whatever.
