Need some expert advise if possible on my BMW.
This is the problem attached. I am reluctant to bring the car in and spend £99 for someone to turn around and say they couldn't find a fault (as the warning message in sporadic), or that they couldn't find the fault in the first hour so will need to be in Servicing for a few more hours.
But what i was hoping you may know is why this fault would occur, what it means and have you seen this before (what was done to rectify it?).
Some background information:
- The car has done 18k miles 2012 BMW f20 1 series auto 116i (2 owners - i have owned it for a year and covered 6k miles)
- New MOT issued Nov 2016 - No faults
- The error message appears during driving only (but not all the time, it appears some days and not other days). Once ignition is off and the car is started again the error message goes away (This keeps happening).
