I agree with Fanis. I think any sense of change when a different oil is used, provided it is a recommended grade for the engine, is purely a placebo effect. In more than 25 years of car ownership, including competition, I've never seen a change between major brands oils of the same grade result in any measurable performance improvement. Of course, an engine will always feel and perform slightly better with clean oil and -- especially -- a clean filter. But between brands of the same grade...nada!
