Hi. I've just been told the same thing by BMW. I have a new 118d SE with Professional Radio (SA 663) and am told that the Alpine upgrade is not available when they plug my VIN number into their ETK system.
Any one else having the same issue?

If you take a look at page 7 of the Installation instructions where it describes the Diplexer. You'll see that connector B4 is specifically designed to be attached to cars with fitted with SA 606, SA 609
and SA 663. Connector B2 is for cars with the Business radio. You'll see this information again on page 12 where it describes the installation in more detail - "Only cars with SA 606, SA 609
or SA 663 Connect branch B4 to the tweeter".
