I'm eyeing this second-hand sport steering wheel for my F20. It also includes the airbag and wheel controls for the price of only 320 Euros:

I currently have the most basic one: the one a bit thinner and without the silver plate (yes it has wheel controls).
You know how much BMW charges for a sport steering wheel + airbag + all the necessary parts. If not, the answer is
a lot.
I'm really tempted as it really is in near-perfect condition but my main concern is, of course, will the airbag work in case of an accident? Is it relatively safe to install a second-hand, never activated airbag?
I was wondering if any of you had any experience with this and wether I should trust the electronics telling me that the airbag is operative after the installation etc.
