Vinyl-wood siding an option for the new target demographic?

I was in a loaner X3 last week. Even my wife remarked that it drove like an old Buick while my neighbor shared his opinion about the startlingly ugly aesthetics. I also drove a mint E46 M3. The visceral "Motorsport" sport-sedan experience that defined the marque seems like a distant memory now. Sadly I doubt "M" still resides in the corporate DNA. Those responsible are long gone.

Maybe BMW ought to re-brand as Germany's lesser version of America's Jeep?
I love my 2015 X3. In addition, I currently own two Jeep SUVs including a 2017 GC Summit. Same MSRP as my X3 and it's a nice ride. My bimmers are way better.
