What are you averaging in the 116i?

Cheers
Well its brand new so still wont be getting the best figures, but i got 45.5 on a 300 mile journey which was a mixture of motorway and a roads.

Rush hour jams no doubt will be down to about 38 ish

Ok lets do the sums at (40mpg compared to 50mpgs to make the maths easier)

12,000 miles @ 40mpg & £1.30 per litre of pertrol = £1909.36

12,000 miles @ 50mpg & £1.40 per litre of diesel = £1418.38

Over 3 years at those figures it would cost you £1472.94 more to run the petrol.

118d Sport £23,270
116I Sport £21,305

The pertrol would be £1965 less to buy, but cost £1472.94 more to run based on my estimate. Still works out £492.06 cheaper over 3 years and you have £1965 less to find to buy the car.

Again that's all just an estimate, but might help
