If you get an amp with high level inputs, you can tap into the underseat speaker wiring and use that to send signal to amplifier.

I'd recommend a mini amp as they are easy to hide behind trim panels in the boot. I use a Kicker Key 500.1 and it does the job well, but I'm in a country with limited brands.

I have Focal underseats running off a Kicker Key 200.4 amp and they add a bit of bass but not enough to justify the upgrade cost. Far better to go the subwoofer in the boot.

As a comparison, wifey's car (F10 530d) has the HK system and I find it completely underwhelming.
