MotorTrend LT test of F8x M3 panned it hard on many things, including exhaust. That said, I don't know of any I6 that's going to beat an S65 in exhaust sound, especially at cold start up
Least none that I've ever heard and I've been lucky enough to have owned E92 and E46 M3's..
I've been M3 super fan boy for years and have been disappointed in most of the F8x M3/M4's I've been around, including those with performance exhausts.
Hell, I thought my M235i with MPE sounded better to be honest
