As an owner of the last of the NA 6cylinders with the fortune of the 8sp ZF, the 3cyl-T which makes a 6cyl sound is a better option than the 4cyl one, unless you want power to be felt and sound not to be heard.
I can imagine this thing in a 3 series being wound up and driven like race cars, just to get pass the eco standards.
btw. an 8cyl basically sounds like a 4cyl, if you want the best sound from an engine it is a 12 cyl (which is 2 6cyl)
