Alpina turned it into a cruiser, as they didn't do anything to improve the handling, took the S62 heart out, and also made it a slush box. Equals pretty cruiser.
While the real Z8s with the S62 aren't as rare I love them more.
There is a Top Gear review of the Alpina from around 2002, that might be on youtube. Clarkson didn't like either version of the car. |
so the Alpina roadster didn't use the S62 (Z8/e39 M5 motor)? they literally replaced it with something else? i did not know that...i was always under the impression that Alpina just slightly de-tuned the S62.
