AusF20, I am not sure who gave you that information, but I am 110% sure it is wrong information.

I just double check the standard one on my 118 and M Brake on 125 (sitting side by side). They are much bigger on the M version.

For the standard 118, there is a BIG gaps between the disc & rim, but the M version is filling up the entire rim for a 17" rim.

It's too dark now, but I will try to get some photo tomorrow for comparison.
