A great example was our VW with it's slow gear box uptake. VW did replace the gear box but still had very slow uptake instead of extremely slow.

I must say our 116i doesn't suffer at all in sport mode. I specially tried today with take off's to see if their was any slow gear box uptake but their wasn't. I still smile every time I pull away at traffic lights and roundabouts as the car dials in straight away.
