Tested the F20 on a track this weekend.
Last year I was on the same track with an E36/5 323ti Compact with Bilstein coilovers, extra camber, limited slip differential and approx. 190 hp.
To my surprise, the 136 hp 116i could do similar laptimes in stock form. The top speed on the track was 169 km/h in the Compact, and I logged 172 km/h in the F20. Mind you, the Compact was a lighter car, with quite a lot more power.
The F20 was very nicely balanced, and I could brake very late with it. There was almost no understeer under power on corner exits. It is also quite easy to set the car up slightly sideways during corner entry if you turn in while still braking.
I ran with DSC off, and the fake limited slip differential (ABS brakes and software) was working very well.
