In Norway the average life span of a BMW is around 20 years, and it is usually rust that kills it in the end. That is why we try to preserve our cars. In the winter it is easy to keep them clean, as the water is frozen...
The X cars are too tall and heavy, so they don't handle as well as normal cars. I also think the AWD is significantly less fun to drive than RWD.
