Not the BMW's fault, the scum broke into his house and nabbed the keys to it. So it is the house's fault or the owners. Sadly, you can't live like Fort Knox so the fault probably only lies with the scum who broke in. The car has actually got a fairly decent security system. Imobilised, motion sensors and tilt sensors (similar to Apple's accelerometers) so it knows if it is being picked up or towed and will imobilise the engine so. The theives also need a little BMW knowledge as the start-up procedure is difficult to fathom by people who have never driven a BMW before. "Mere Mortals." Ugh, I hope you find it and find it in good shape!
