Im not really understanding this whole thing either hence the reason for opening the discussion up ... im trying to understand !!

I don't follow - are you saying that you increase the way that torque is limited (i.e. reduce torque) during a change which allows the change to be faster? Or do you increase torque during the change relative to factory? In which case, surely that won't improve gearbox longevity.

Further, what sort of controlled trials have been done on these gearboxes? How many cars, distance travelled, how were the tests standardised etc?[/QUOTE]
